So, the Sulaco arrives say earliest 26th of July, latest 19th of September; and for the next few days (say a week at the most) the remaining events of Aliens occurs. I assume from start to finish the timeline is around 8-9 weeks from Ripley's recovery to them leaving LV426 on the Sulaco afterwards. Even though they fly off in an Engineers' ship at the end of Prometheus, it's a stretch to think that they are going to LV426 because, as we know from Aliens, "it's a rock" and they were going to find the Engineers' homeworld.
